"Deep Blue" Quilting Cruise with Stitchin' Heaven

7-Night Eastern Caribbean cruise on Royal Caribbean's Independence of the Seas. From Miami we will visit Perfect Day Cococay, Bahamas; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, and back to Miami. On “at sea” days Tina Lueders and I will be teaching. You can do either project or both of them. (Or you can sew on whatever you want to bring.) Bernina sewing machines are provided and serviced for you, and the classroom is open 24-7, so you can quilt to your heart’s content. Kits will be available! Quilting Cruise - Alaska Quilting Adventure

We sail from Seattle on the Royal Caribbean Ovation of the Seas. We head to Juneau, then Skagway, and Sitka. Last port is Victoria, British Columbia before heading back to Seattle. You will be sewing on a state-of-the-art Bernina machine provided for your use by Stitchin’ Heaven. You can choose one or two of the projects (with optional kits available) to keep you happily sewing away when you are not enjoying other cruising options. In this class you will explore TRIMplate® piecing using my rulers to make accurate blocks with a simple trim-after-you-sew technique. I will have lessons on how to effectively use these versatile, traditional blocks to achieve many different design variations. Design your own, or use one of my patterns for your class project(s). Suitable for beginners as well as advanced quilters.
